Peach themed works in progress.

My poodle puppy is 8 months old this week. She has taught herself to set traps.

I walked into the kitchen last night and whispered, "Clever girl."
The doorway between my kitchen and porch is obstructed by a gallon of Dawn dish liquid (which she pushed at least 8 inches to tighten the gap in the doorway, smart little bitch), and her favorite stuffed duck.

The horrors persist, but my sister and I still managed to get together last night to watch a five year old meet a poodle.

Yay, Arts Council of Rockland featured my fish on their promo graphic!
A promo graphic for the Arts Council of Rockland's show: Showcasing the Women of ACOR. Runs February 3rd through March 31 at New City Library with a reception on Wednesday the 12th. Three works are featured, but I only know the title of my fish in the center (Morning. I'm really proud of my colorwork on this fish. It emulates light so beautifully and alcohol ink is hard to control enough to pull that off.) To the left is a piece that seems to incorporate broken pottery and I can't wait to get a good and proper look at it when I go to see it on Wednesday evening. To the right is a lovely abstract piece, horizontal stripes of blue-black, silver, and gold. The metallic work is pieced like its made of leaf or a mosaic. Another piece I can't wait to get a good look at.

Here I am with one of my Limited Edition prints of Blistered Ardor at Rockland Center for the Arts.

More importantly, I have some excitingnews about new prints coming this week.
I stand in front of a red Jellyfish with gold ink. This piece took home the Critic's Choice award in The Color of Passion show earlier this year. I still have a small handful of these hand embellished pieces left. I laugh all the time that applying the gold ink to paper takes longer than it took to put on the original, but they're lovely (and $150, DM me for sale link).

Eeeee! New prints just arrived. So nervous to unbox. Enjoy the reveal of my poodle's eyes and double fangs instead for now.
A poodle puppy in my partner's lap with her floof tied up for the first time. This is the longest in her life she has had a minimally obstructed view. Top-knot secured, it's time for play time for Poodle princess Katie-beans. She happily chomps her favorite green mini tennis ball, one set of doubled canine teeth (her baby teeth may need to be removed by the vet) on full adorable display. In the foreground is her favorite toy and lounge pillow, the green duck.

Oops: we washed the poodle and lost her eyes.
One fresh and fluffy poodle puppy wonders why the hell I am always trying to stick this brick in her face. Her bangs cover her eyes because I'm not brave enough to cut them and we still aren't ready to bring her to a pro (it's been a hard few months she's been with us).

One sign of my improving health, stamina, and well-being is that I finally noticed that poodle princess Katie-beans chewed more than four inches off the front of my hair.

She only managed a tasteful face frame on one side. So, I give you: the first I let a dog choose the length of my new haircut.
I smirk from my bedroom desk with a shoulder length haircut that I'd not have chosen for myself in February. It really is a good thing my dog is too cute and too sweet to hold a grudge against.

A finned fish swims up from the lower right corner of the painting. Its body is orange and its fins form a gradient from yellow to red to blue. This fish is one of my favorites because of the delicate lighting in the eye. It will hang at New City Library until March 31st.

Katie has really embraced her job of making sure we all feel loved and smile at least once every day. We're so lucky to have her to take care of us.
Our sentient mop of a sandy poodle lounges on her new duck stuffy. She loves it and us and rarely misses a chance to tell me so.

My little knock-off Lego succulents are always green and full of joy.
A row of brick plants sit on the windowsill in front of a few of my favorite pictures of my sister and my neice, and one photo of my partner being very silly at the art center to put a grin on my neice's face. My other half knows I like fox things, so today he surprised me with a hair clip he printed for me.
A fox-shaped bun holder printed in white PLA is nestled around the clip that holds up my pineapple of waves. The same bun holder now painted with orange, yellow, cream, and copper acrylic paint.
