Affliction Vortex by Dawn of Solace isn't the most inventive album but it's a really solid metal album tinged with gothic and doomy elements. Right up my strasse

Posthumous releases can sometimes be a tricky proposition. Not in this case. Balloonerism, recorded over a decade ago is a really strong release. Mac Miller's talent at wordplay is on full display. The beats and flow are engaging. Great album 🙏

I saw Witch Fever supporting Volbeat a couple of months ago and they were great. Well worth a spin, the new album (FEVEREATEN) is great and is another one that I've had on rotation lately

However I have been enjoying it on repeat over this last month. Much like Lord Snow, they deliver blasts of noise in invigoratingly inventive ways.

Lord Huron's debut is pretty good folk rock album. I only really discovered them over the last year or two. Pleased to get back to the beginning with this one #5albums1014

Sturgill Simpson with a very accomplished debut album. Its more straight down the country line than the genre-expanding works that would follow. But there's something about a simple song with steel pedal guitar that just works for me. nice 👌
