We saw this beautiful example of the Golden Rule in action on our walk yesterday. This woman who fosters disabled dogs is the embodiment of ethical monism, treating the most helpless of us as if they deserve care and compassion. May we all strive to be so selfless and compassionate.

For all our worrying, planning, and the need to control our lives, don't forget to practice some presence, and recognize our existence in the moment.
