Kindness is not a currency you can run out of.
Enlightenment isn't something an individual earns. It's something we all return to, that exists in us in every moment of every day, without even trying.

Many people see the butterfly as a symbol of personal growth, but the cocoon was just as much a part of the caterpillar’s journey as the butterfly that emerges. There are parts of yourself you can choose to leave behind while carrying forward what is beautiful and worth keeping.

We saw this beautiful example of the Golden Rule in action on our walk yesterday. This woman who fosters disabled dogs is the embodiment of ethical monism, treating the most helpless of us as if they deserve care and compassion. May we all strive to be so selfless and compassionate.

In Star Trek, it was thought that warp speed flight was the indicator that a civilization was ready for first contact. We believe widespread adoption of a monist mindset would be the more likely indicator for ETs that we're ready for interaction beyond our planet.

Rather than viewing your skin as a wall dividing you from the outside world, picture it as a conduit that allows you to engage with it. Use this moment or presence to observe the sensations your skin perceives, the sounds that reach your ears, and the sights that fill your vision.
