Did you know that "bumping" an email you sent to a customer service domain doesn't put it at the top of the inbox? It actually puts it at the bottom, because emails are answered in the order they're received? Well, now you do. Stop doing that and then complaining resolutions take "forever."

My job has a customer service element to it. Someone just sent an indignant message that no one had replied to their email yet and it's been NINETEEN HOURS! Ummmm, wow. Can't wait to talk to them...

If you have to correspond with customer service any time soon, remember: be nice, they're PEOPLE. Some of them are very, very tired today, and if you demonstrate a lack of empathy, they will spend the entire interaction putting a curse on you under their breath.
