I think the elections will happen, but if the Dems win we may see Trump and his cronies do everything they can to paint the election as fraudulent and then attempt to nullify the results.

It is frustrating to me that the ONLY power Dems are able to wield against the Trump Administration is to shutdown the Federal Government, but so be it. Dems should do so again if/when the GOP attempts to back-burner or sabotage the GOP-promised vote on extending ACA subsidies.

IMO, the Dems come out of this shutdown/ACA fight stronger and looking MUCH better to most Americans than the GOP. I fully support ANOTHER Dem led shutdown the moment the GOP breaks it’s promise on the ACA Vote.

The Democrats are learning, I think. When folks are always worried about money and the cost of living, maybe it’s hard for them to focus on other very really dangers, like authoritarianism.

A GOP w/out Trump?
I don’t think the GOP sees a future without him and will continue to be loyal at least through the midterms, which he’s attempting to steal with gerrymandering (and more). What will he do for them if the Dems win - claim fraud and attempt to nullify the results?

IMHO, as one who feared what Trump would do if he returned to the White House, my expectations of what his administration would do to ensure he has complete control and does what he wants, when he wants no matter the impact on Americans and democracy have certainly been exceeded.
