finally got reading glasses! no more being within two inches of things to read them, no more guessing games with packages trying to read ingredients and instructions! i haven't even done much drawing or sculpting for a few years because i can't see well up close anymore

hulk hogan has passed, and kid me that watched the cartoon and had the weird rubber action figures and stuff wants to mourn that version of him, but it was gone long ago and may have only existed in marketing gimmicks anyway. current day hulk hogan was... ehhh x_X but i am still sad for his family.

Really enjoyed #Picklesburgh in #Pittsburgh yesterday. Spent over 10 hours downtown capturing scenes from the Clemente Bridge to downtown, and the layout made a huge difference. The food and drink were delicious, the music and activities were fun, and it seemed like everyone had a great time.

tired from housecleaning, and thinking about starting to post some of my least favorite comics and star wars collectibles up on ebay. when you open a box, look inside, and the feeling is not fond nostalgia but "why the hell do i even own this?" maybe it's time for a thing to go to a new home.

woke up, found out it's gonna be between 90-100 degrees of too hot outside today, and already want to go back to sleep in the nice safe indoors with the air conditioner without even going out in it. x_X

So, what started as looking through my old comics and magazine boxes for a thing turned into a rabbit hole trying to figure out who did the cover for this because we couldn't find and artist credit in the book. Best guess so far is Ed McGuiness from the style and half a signature. #CityOfHeroes

working on a sculpture idea, had to bake the body before working on the head so that the body and final detail doesn't get squished while working on the head. the hand drooped in the oven and looks a little.. ehhhh now, but too late to fix unless i resculpt the arm, and i am lazy, so no.

wanted to be at a comic con today and then wander the arts festival while in town, but the health decided otherwise for me. not happy, but not like i can do anything about it.

what WAS gonna be a "lol let me throw some old crap for funny pictures as a joke" turned into a sad mess because a couple meds i've been on had a side effect of making me gain weight this past year. My coat still fits at least, but the coat is the coat, it always fits. the rest... not so much. T_T

Currently trying to rebuild a crochet pattern from the 1960s from looking at a finished doll. This may not end well.
also, yes i have tried looking for the original pattern, this thing was either invented by the person who made the doll for my mom or from some long lost hippie crafting magazine.

was talking to someone while watching Velvet Goldmine and wound up sketching a thing, and realized i'm both really out of practice on some stuff, and better off sticking to sculptures and plushies at this point because its getting hard to see my own linework. Think i might need different glasses.
