This morning my toddler dragged me out of bed..
"Come on mama GET UP, come outside and sit in the sun. It make you feel better mama."
She wasn't wrong. I'm so grateful to be strong enough to go outside for a bit.
Even on my worst days, she brings me joy.

One of my favorite easy meals. I browned some rice and onion with olive oil before tossing it in my rice cooker with a bag of mixed frozen veg and a can of chickpeas. Topped with soy sauce.
Simple. Warm. Comforting. Cheap.

One of my favorite easy meals. I browned some rice and onion with olive oil before tossing it in my rice cooker with a bag of mixed frozen veg and a can of chickpeas. Topped with soy sauce.

I'm going to miss this view!
So grateful that my sister and I and our daughters were able to go stay in florida with my brother for 7 weeks this year as his wife entered hospice and ultimately died of cancer.
It was bittersweet staying in the home she shared with him.
