After this, it was dinner and dancing...and maybe a Wicked Grace game somewhere.

simple dress that was the color of the grass in the Emerald Graves and made of finely woven Orlesian silk. Staying a bit after also afforded the two of them the happy chance to hold each other's hands in public a while longer.

She applauded when the performance ended and stayed to allow the crowd to shuffle out. Some of them were muttering about possible shenanigans going on backstage. Typical Antiva. It wasn't any of her business.

Briala also looked thoroughly pleased by the night out, and stunning in her

The performance was superb. She did not know any of the actors, but she knew that, like in Orlais, theater had a habit of breaking the 4th wall. No matter, she was here for the plot and also the wine and butter cookies in the lobby.

The Empress also missed being in Antiva. Here, no one cared if she openly held Briala's hand or visibly enjoyed the performances.

Sure, The Game was always being played but Antivans had the delightful habit of turning it to their favor. One reason she liked having Lady Josephine in her Court.

She loved the theater.

"Right...then, I guess I will sit here until pasteurization is invented."

"Hides? I'm in here where you put me, you Blighted chicken nugget!" Empress Celene kicked at the bird with the steel toe of her riding boot.

"Okay. I've heard that before." Empress Celene placed her hands on her hips like she'd seen illustrations of Rook do in the Tevinter papers.
