I had chickenpox as a kid but was advised a vaccine top-up when my kids got theirs. Also strongly recommended that I get the shingles vaccines which I did. Don’t know if the vaccine formulation is different in the UK but it doesn’t protect against shingles afaik.

Most Caesar salad dressings aren’t vegetarian either :( but yeah same boat. Zero sweet tooth here so there were maybe two dishes I would want to eat in that list.

They don’t even account for vegetarians. About 90% of the dishes listed have meat.

Once the subset of appropriate prestige+cost schools were identified then location is the next variable that we considered. Note however that we applied this logic to OOS schools as TX has a very good in-state program for what we wanted.

Prestige and cost are somewhat equal imo. If prestige drives the cost beyond your means then nope look at the projected career path too. If the u/g degree is a stepping stone only (like premed or Prelaw) I would balance cost with a sufficiently prestigious program.

Ouch. I’m a fellow twister of ankles since childhood. Now that I have one knee replaced, I lose balance more often too :( managed to fall in MX too and the ankle still hurts over two weeks later. Growing old sucks sometimes.

And same for us! It was pouring in Granada so we dashed through the gardens but the wet weather made the walks through the old town nicer!

I keep wavering between Seville and Granada for favorite!! Granada had the better food for us! But Seville was so lovely overall. And we hadn’t hit cathedral overload when we went to Seville so loved that cathedral!

It makes a very decent dal and ‘thokku’. I don’t like force- fitting it into sweets but have happily made Desi savory preparations

I ask this as a non-drinker of coffee- your pot/maker looks discolored. But if the old grounds have been removed and the pot washed does the discoloration matter?

Juries were abolished in criminal cases (they were only ever used for those) in 1973. Used a few times after the Nanavati case but yes it’s widely accepted that that was the trigger.

It is on the facebook and whatsapp groups. Plenty of panicked people wondering about the retroactive nature of this too.

Pens. Hair ties/scrunchies (despite buying a metric ton of them every time). Scissors. Seam rippers.

Ooh well done!

Yup. I didn’t grow up in TN either but naalanna/yettanna (25p/50p) was common usage at home.
January 19, 2025 at 8:36 AM
✋🏼 I’m of the age where I still refer to 25p as 4 annas when talking in Tamil!

Grew up in india and napkins were and are sanitary pads.

I’ve made it for over 30 years now. When I started grad school in 1993 there was a set of recipes compiled by prior midwestern grad students passed around by email. Cranberry thokku and crabapple pickle were part of that list!

Yeah we have a fancy schmancy oven (came with the house) and it just wouldn’t warm the oven up like our old one used to!
