Not every storyline is going to be for you, just don't be extremely weird, and hostile about it. Especially to Mercedes herself, like she didn't do shit to no one, and definitely doesn't deserve the cult of weirdos that love to hate her, imo.

Anyway, you can not like the story coming out of this, that's chill, wrestling is subjective, but a lot of the Mercedes Mone hate has been way over the top imo, and her Ultimo Mone run has been having people melting down, and frothing at the mouth, and it's super weird.

Not to mention the absolute crash out in kayfabe that'll happen when she drops her first belt it's going to be sick as hell. But haters are going to hate and I bet when she drops that first belt, and spirals in character, people are going to make it weird and act like it's all a shoot, I see it now.

Mercedes is legit going out of her way to elevate women's wrestling in these markets that would let normally have a Mercedes Mone to do that with. The way people talk about her though makes it seem like she is forcing them at gunpoint to give her their belts. Like holy shit.

And these indie promoters seem to all agree that giving her the belt would elevate the promotion, and surprise surprise, many of those cases are true. Also, I'm no indie promoters, these guys are probably smarter than I am when it comes to making these decisions, and they are doing so.

Also, you can find many an example of the wrestlers she is taking these belts off of actually thanking her on social media for both giving them a dream match, and elevating the promotion in the process. Unless these wrestlers were signed to an AEW they wouldn't get this opportunity.
