In 2024 I made progress rather than accomplished my stated goals, because circumstances with my family and myself were ultimately what needed my attention. And I'm ok with that. Despite difficulties, I am grateful to make it through another year and hope to do better in the new one to come.

Read somewhere that someone thought Final Fantasy VI was a "cozy" JRPG and while I think they meant from a mechanics standpoint I laughed because otherwise there is nothing cozy about a brutal imperialist war, megalomaniacal clown villain, and, well, that thing that happened to the world and all.

In other news, the one thing holding me back from @bsky.app verification via domain was the inconvenience of having to reserve my old name. Now that they allow you to do it automatically I'm happy to verify using The Low Key Geek. New year coming up, new name!

UPDATE: Sweet, sweet revenge in Final Fantasy II. And all it took was taking advantage of the temporary overpowered character they put in your party and hiding like cowards in the back row.
