That’s unfortunately what we have concluded after doing a lot of testing, only machines made by yourself show up in offline city trial, which feels like an oversight rather than being intentional. I hope it gets patched.

To clarify what Tama means here since there is some confusion in the replies: For *City Trial* mode, purchased My Machines only show up in Online, Paddock, LAN and Local Communication modes. This means if someone wants to play CityTri w/ purchased My Machines co-op locally you need another Switch 2.

There are a few NPCs scattered about that mention Clemont & Bonney, but I don’t think it was ever by name and no reason was given for why they were gone. I just have to assume they moved when Prism Tower started acting up due to the danger it would cause gym challengers. I wish it was more in depth!

This part got me as well, they genuinely care and pay enough attention to make the streaming plot line feel coherent and not just a throw away reference to appease “modern audiences” it felt like they got it.

Specifically with the way the ZA royale is designed to ask of you many types and status moves etc with the missions, it incentivizes a wide breadth of teams to maximize your run, I absolutely agree it seems to be the design intention to work on many different pokemon over your journey
