I feel like there may still be some influence, as it appears they are catching up to Yokai Watch 4 with their combat system in ZA, as the they have a similar cooldown based real time battle system with their summoned creature/companions in a small arena.

Not story #spoilers for DK bananza, but I figured out during today’s stream you could skip an entire huge chunk of the game if you just… fly over to the other side. Wild!
