I’ve been playing it before bed on Steam Deck and it’s been good so far. I’m bad at StS, but MT comparatively has always felt a little easy and so far MT2 feels similar and a bit more of a casual cooldown type of game.

It had THREE full sofas and a wagon wheel bench. It was magnificent.

Totally agree, I'm a bit fatigued by it at this point, but I did enjoy Act 3 a lot.

Hornet herself has the answer: "I've seen enough sacrifice. I have no love for the act"

No cost too great 😂

I often think back to how, during my graduate studies, my professor unironically recommended Campbell as a main source for an essay about modern mythological architecture I was writing.

He also made us watch the Fountainhead, so the signs were there.

I was losing steam with Silksong at the end of Act 2, but I will say that I’m really digging Act 3 so far, probably in large part because I’m just kinda floored at how dramatic some of the changes are and how much content they tucked away.

Blasphemous is a shining example of how games as a living medium can really transform. I remember playing for review and loving the ideas, and really enjoyed seeing the rough edges get smoothed out and rising to meet the vision.

I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere and visuals a lot, but I’ve found myself it a bit tiring on the whole. Also, it’s the first time in a metroidvania that getting the double jump (temporarily) made me worse at platforming as I adjusted to how it affected the glide and harpoon muscle memory I developed 😂

I didn’t like the shard system from the start and it hasn’t changed into Act 3. I don’t like how it puts a damper on experimentation and acts as a greater penalty for struggling players. Combine that with some punishing runbacks and tanky basic enemies and it can make for some tedious stretches.

That’s funny because I did that in one shot, probably about 20 mins total 😂
