Yes I agree, I feel the whole principle of good story telling has suffered. Not only a narrative which is compelling you need to have an interest in the people on screen, and these days there’s neither.

god yes, both utterly awful, tried to watch Gladiator II a couple of times, failed to get through it on both occasions....and Napoleon, like how can you screw that story up?

There's been nothing decent for years. Perhaps HBOs celebrated Rome series, Band of Brothers: astonishing to think of the amazing stories from our history, and the number of times they get it all wrong
