Misleading headline. They mean B2 English (by CEFR standards) so the required skill in English would be similar to the French of a British kid with A level French.

Inspired by the boat in Japan that got loose during the tsunami and drifted empty to Canada? Nice big target. It’s a bit further from Sri Lanka, but with someone to steer and some fuel, you never know. Pack a few years of food and water and cross your fingers.

I have heard them! There is a heronry by the Cam on the way to Grantchester and they make a loud croaky raspy call when flying home to the nest. It was quite a creepy thing to hear at dusk when kayaking through Newnham woods on my own…

Tbf it might not be hungry - with a beak that long in front of your eyes, it’s an inspection tool. I think it wants to ride the bike. Its feet are big enough for the pedals. But its legs aren’t long enough. A flamingo might manage. Beak operates a brake.

You have just given me an idea for an Only Fools and Horses follow up in which a girl is named after Del-boy - Delenda.

Is “super off peak” the same as “it’s a Sunday and here is your rail replacement bus service”?

Unfortunately for me that suggests someone who is scared of water or diving and spends all day hanging around the edge but never jumps. Try going in slowly first and work up to it!

This is going to be a problem for trans men too. A man with low haemoglobin could be accepted for donation if tested at the lower female threshold. Health risk!

That dress is perfect for the passive aggressive wedding guest who insists that they had a gorgeous cream number, but everyone said no because they would upstage the bride, so FINE I SHALL JUST WEAR A SACK THEN.

I had a lot of aniseed flavoured antibiotics to treat chest and ear infections when I was a kid. They used to make me retch. The banana flavoured amoxicillin was nice though.

Then a robot vacuum cleaner would go knocking over all the crutches that were propped up against the walls, jamming them against the doors, so the humans couldn’t open the door to get in to the room and the robot couldn’t get out.
