Made it from this recipe! www.linsfood.com/mafe/

We increased the peanut butter (back to what it typically is), and added more piri piri sauce for extra spice. Even with two habanero, it didn’t have the zing we wanted (but our household’s spice tolerance is high!)

Here’s the recipe! For gf substitutes, just swap out of the soy sauce for a gluten free version.

Aji amarillio should be a pepper paste (might need to order it), and I wouldn’t recommend a substitute!

For fries, watch out for hidden allergens too~

So fair! I usually have to avoid them because of gluten. I have heard of some homemade “meat” recipes with mushrooms and such that could work? Maybe you can make a big batch and freeze it for later use?

Ooo berbere is such a good spice and so few people use it! This spice blend looks delicious.

That honestly sounds fantastic. There are so many foods out there that are absolutely delicious, but not shared on common recipe sites because they don’t fit a Western palate! Do share any of your favorites 🥰

Anything with this much garlic is bound to be good!!

This recipe takes a few more spoons, but it’s entirely worth it. For gluten allergy like me, sub soy sauce for gf tamari or (for a more authentic alternative) try gf Joseon soy sauce! Also, check the tteok (rice cakes) for hidden ingredients.

Ooo bison is absolutely delicious!! Idk if we can get it here in Spain but it’s so so tasty. Too bad that lamb is also so expensive! Can vegan meat substitutes work better for your stomach maybe?

Yes, it’s definitely meant to be a community meal! I believe it’s often made for celebrations and gatherings ☺️

Ooo sounds so tasty! I need to work more with lamb. In my prior country it was too expensive but it’s soooo tasty
