The grief of the violence that is being collectively enacted on trans people throughout the world. The grief of our lost trans siblings that those who are still here must shoulder. The grief of trans kids who were violently taken from the world before being able to grow up. The grief of familial abandonment to trans youth especially, is something far too many trans people have had to experience, but where in our lives are we truly able to acknowledge these atrocities, and grieve for them, for ourselves? This space endeavours to hold room for the complexities of all grief, beyond the standard models of both grieving [as a process] itself and what can be considered grief. This group will be run under the framework of Mutual Aid Social Therapy as a starting point, and will evolve with the needs of the community as it grows."

Hello friends! I am posting to announce this new affinity group that I will be hosting over Zoom! This will be a space for the trans community to center and process our grief. Please share this post so this resource may reach more of us. I hope to see you at our first meeting!
