whew, it turned out really well!

it’s a pie because I’m using pie crust from the freezer section. I have at my disposal neither a proper tart pan nor the motivation to wrestle my food processor from the back of the cabinet much less any desire to make dough from scratch.

*any serenity is very fleeting, but I’ll take it. luna is almost always the opposite of serene, especially on our walks.

yesterday we walked up a road that is heavily shaded by a small forest. it was lovely & I feel so lucky to live among so many trees. I don’t know or understand why I’m now a-person-who-walks-each-morning. it just started happening & here we are, maybe the tiniest bit more serene* & strong each time.

(surprisingly, I’ve only had one other similar call, possibly pre-pandemic? that person was very interested in the sensory experience of playing the piano at our library. how do the pedals feel, how does it feel to sit at the bench, nothing about the keys tho.)

I’ll spare us all a mini diatribe on the shitty behavior, shit stirring, talking shit, dumbass shit, etc., I routinely witness.
