reading a children's book from the late 80s with my daughter and i blurted out "Ferrari Testarossa" like a pavlovian response upon seeing one. i'm pretty sure all little boys raised in the 80s were issued this poster by the state, regardless of how they felt about cars. "aspire to opulent vehicle!"

it's always cute when the elderly polling volunteers say, "don't forget to take a sticker!". you realize that the promise of a sticker is the only way i can trick her into coming out to vote with me, yeah?

smuggled in a visit to the optometrist before my corporate health insurance runs out. i've needed reading glasses for awhile, i am just bad at actually going to the doctor. the last time i had glasses i was 12, and the AR virtual try-on definitely did not exist back then. the future is silly

the last time i had to grow an unemployment beard i was 10 years younger, 40 lbs lighter, and the beard wasn't nearly so white.
