As it turns out, lotsa people are VERY happy to burn years on volunteer side-projects for a vaguely-defined greater good 𝙄𝙁 you keep them enthused and happy, which is the true currency of such arrangements. Fuck them around and they'll flee in droves or split off without you. Just that simple.

i haven't played this one but i have played the ps2 sequel and i can only describe it as what happens when someone is asked to make a third-person shooter, doesn't know what one is, and has it explained to them down a phone line with a bad signal
