I was on Oahu 😊 🏝️ Just for the day though (from Kauai). I’ll be back when fieldwork actually starts in February though! Assuming you’re not in London 😂 🇬🇧 when I visit!

The solar panel placement at this site was optimized for energy production, but they’ve found that there’s a ton of agricultural benefits for many of the row crops there. Some couldn’t even be grown at that low of altitude previously, but the microclimate below and between panels is amazing 🥬 🌶️ 🧅

Hypothetical generation potential in MW/yr

When we started roads to removal I had not yet grown a grey hair. Now we are done with the symposia and the number of grey hairs I have are non-negligible 😂 So, I get it. Lol

Very happy to see some #agronomic results on #CropYields. Tomato yields reduced by 25%, but peppers increased by 20% as solar panel density increased. 13% improvement in water efficiency 💦 🍅 🌶️
