Mojito, with Whidbey Island Distillery's Loganberry Liqueur added for a little berry kick of taste and color. #cheers

A recent photoshoot, which is a collaboration with Whidbey Island Distillery and The Joy of Cocktails. Each cocktail is a common cocktail, tweaked using Whidbey Distillery's rye whiskeys or berry liqueurs. Included here are a Sazerac, a Manhattan, a Negroni and a 50/50 Martini.

Are you a Seattle area BlueSky Cocktailian? If so, consider heading to the Carnival of Cocktails at City Center, Saturday, March 8, from Noon to 7 pm.

We'll be there exhibiting our vintage glassware for home bars.

Look for us between the Gin & Whiskey booths.

Cheers 🍸

One of our favorites is the Jack Rose. Here's how we make it (my notebook lists Cocktail Codex as a source):

.5 Clear Creek Apple Brandy
.75 Lime Juice
.75 Grenadine
Garnish: paper thin slice of granny smith apple.
Vintage Glass: Bryce (1940s-50s)

SOLD! A hard-to-find set of Culver Mardi Grass, in Mint condition. An amazing score. I have more of each shape that I'll be listing this week that are in "Good" condition. They will be a little lower priced than these. #Cocktails #Vintage #Culver Cheers 🍸

I joined an absinthe workshop a few nights ago, & tonight made my first absinthe cocktail. It’s an Absinthe Old Fashioned, a loose interpretation of an old fashioned. Basically:
1.5 oz Lucid Absinthe
.5 oz St Germaine Elderflower liqueur
1.0 oz Simple
Peychaud’s Bitters float
Stir with ice
Cheers 🍸

Just wrapped up shooting a video segment on vintage glass barware at a friend’s home bar. Talked about antique, vintage and mid-century glassware. It went well and I look forward to sharing it here in a week or two.
Cheers 🍸

Latest addition to the catalog. More Culver! This time the classic Paisley design. This set is rare and unique, as the tall pitcher with a handle and single pour spout is uncommon in this pattern, thus hard to find. #Cocktails Cheers 🍸

Making batches of 12 large clear ice cubes in 1 gallon zip-locks for the freezer. Using the directional freezing method by Camper English. These are about 2”x2”x2”. They are not perfectly square cubes. They are truly “rocks,” each with its own irregular contours. Cheers 🍸 #cocktails 🥃

Look what just arrived! It’s the first part of a shipment of Culver Mardi Gras glasses, from 1950s. In total I’ll have 15 double old fashioneds & 15 highballs. Very hard to find, especially in mint condition, like these are. I’ll be doing studio photos when I receive the rest, next week. Cheers 🍸

This illustration is one of nine in Food & Wine's "9 Cocktail Recipes Everyone Should Memorize." The recipes themselves aren't special. I just really like the illustrations by artist Arielle Cifuentes. #cocktails

@pfrazee.com Please see attached image. This is every hour, basically. It’s kind of amazing that your team did not anticipate that bot and spam controls would be a priority. This renders this platform useless. Worse than X. I never had this issue on X, in Instagram, etc. #bluesky

Thank you, Tammy. The prompt resulted in a response including 5 or 6 drink names with descriptions, and with sources; the sources were all lists with titles like “The 13 Best Mezcal Recipes to Make at Home.” I’ve attached a screenshot.

A week ago I infused Japanese Shochu with Persimmon. Tonight I tried making something with it:

1.5 oz Persimmon-infused Shochu
.75 Lemon Juice
.25 Choya Yuzu Liqueur
.50 Domaine/Canton Ginger Liqueur
.25 Simple

A little savory, a bit citrusy. Low ABV. I’d make it again.

Drink in the History: Fostoria made this unique stemware from 1949 to 1971. The etched pattern is called “Heather.” The glass holds about 4 oz. It’s a favorite in our home bar. We have it listed in the “Every Day” collection, which is a collection of vintage glass <$10 / glass. #Cocktails Cheers 🍸
