A recent photoshoot, which is a collaboration with Whidbey Island Distillery and The Joy of Cocktails. Each cocktail is a common cocktail, tweaked using Whidbey Distillery's rye whiskeys or berry liqueurs. Included here are a Sazerac, a Manhattan, a Negroni and a 50/50 Martini.

Maybe absinthe is what I need now, to get me through the next few years!
The same regret - of not having distributed absinthe to the troops - is shown in this sketch from 1907 by the French caricaturist Jules Depaquit: "If I had given a [glass of] Oxygénée Cusenier to each of my soldiers on the morning of Waterloo, I would not be on Saint Helena!" #DrinkingStudies 🗃️🍸

@davidwondrich.bsky.social has been at the top of my list of tiny bottles tasters since I started the project, so I was thrilled that it finally happened! We tasted two of Grandma's bottles, then Dave surprised me with a very special bottle of his own. Watch or read the transcript at the link.🍸
Tasting Video #42 | my tiny bottles
Tammy is joined by Dave Wondrich to taste 1980s Remy Martin Cognac & Marquis de Caussade Armagnac, plus a bonus 1930s Hennessey!

SOLD! A hard-to-find set of Culver Mardi Grass, in Mint condition. An amazing score. I have more of each shape that I'll be listing this week that are in "Good" condition. They will be a little lower priced than these. #Cocktails #Vintage #Culver Cheers 🍸

I joined an absinthe workshop a few nights ago, & tonight made my first absinthe cocktail. It’s an Absinthe Old Fashioned, a loose interpretation of an old fashioned. Basically:
1.5 oz Lucid Absinthe
.5 oz St Germaine Elderflower liqueur
1.0 oz Simple
Peychaud’s Bitters float
Stir with ice
Cheers 🍸

Just wrapped up shooting a video segment on vintage glass barware at a friend’s home bar. Talked about antique, vintage and mid-century glassware. It went well and I look forward to sharing it here in a week or two.

Latest addition to the catalog. More Culver! This time the classic Paisley design. This set is rare and unique, as the tall pitcher with a handle and single pour spout is uncommon in this pattern, thus hard to find. #Cocktails Cheers 🍸

Why Is My Drink So Damn Weird?

Making batches of 12 large clear ice cubes in 1 gallon zip-locks for the freezer. Using the directional freezing method by Camper English. These are about 2”x2”x2”. They are not perfectly square cubes. They are truly “rocks,” each with its own irregular contours. Cheers 🍸 #cocktails 🥃

Look what just arrived! It’s the first part of a shipment of Culver Mardi Gras glasses, from 1950s. In total I’ll have 15 double old fashioneds & 15 highballs. Very hard to find, especially in mint condition, like these are. I’ll be doing studio photos when I receive the rest, next week. Cheers 🍸
