Yes, Mr. Madison, I get your concerns about fiendish foreign princes and such, but here's the thing: in the year 2026 the literal Pope will be eligible to run for POTUS while the mayor of New York City is not. Maybe go back to the drawing board and give that one another go. Not your best work.

Separate cases. It will take time for them to work through the system. But this could be used as a precedent to kill it, if the ruling holds and isn't reversed

I agree, but they are going to struggle to find a standard bearer with the broad appeal and name recognition that energizes the base the way Trump does. I firmly believe Trumpism without Trump will not hold the same power.
