Can someone explain why the IRS caps annual out of pocket health care expenditures at 7.5% of AGI but the OBBBA set subsidized premiums at 7-10% of AGI? Most people who qualify don't itemize, so they're losing at least 3% of their net income.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

I help small businesses and the self-employed get health insurance. I've been doing this since 2013 as a COO / CFO. The difference between options and pricing for one f/t employee are stark enough that I would consider a quickie divorce, set up an LLC, and hire my now-single partner.

Bummed to hear this. Teen Vogue has been an excellent source of political reporting over the last 12-15 years, especially on reproductive rights and workplace equality.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.
certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
