"Hard" i had heard; "brittle" i had not. It sounds like a N. American version of Wenge. Beautiful striations & hard as nails, but pitted & prone to fractures & splintering. Also poisonous. Painfully hard to cut w/o destroying it, worse to sand.

Made a box for a satellite receiver out of it.

Bonus Points!

Q: How do you identify an American auto executive?

A: You gotta turn 'em around and check fer the yellah stripe down their back.

Of course. It wouldn't be half the story it is if i didn't!

Unfortunately, they kept the card and removed the sleeve. Had i better foresight i might have asked to keep it and the receipt as well. Eh. We learn from our mistakes and it separates us from our youth

I think this is the thing. It's for removing hair & fur out of carpets, which is a shame because i was hoping it was something you could use on the dog directly.

I've got a special brush but Ms Dog overwhelms it in just a pass or two.

Tump had his name etched into the marble at the Kennedy Center.

Good.

When he's done it can be chiseled-out. Roughly & rudely, just as the Egyptians did thousands of years ago to erase the unspeakable names from their halls of stone.

Erase the name
Encode the shame

so those who come after KNOW

I hate this little factoid.

If there's any truth in it that means Jack, Jill, & everyone up on Special Prosecutor's Hill had evidence to spare- if they cared to use it.

And they didn't. Bcuz what? "Decorum" for the rich & corrupt? Bcuz it was "us" who'd foot the bill while Jack&co rode off?

Absolutely ZERO.

So Trump wants to send regular army units (???) with tanks & such into American cities to ... what? stand and watch inflatable unicorns twerk to techno-pop and blow bubbles?

This is what Jamelle Bouie means by “cargo cult fascism” – all flash & no thought.

They have no idea what they’re doing.

Oooo - Goddamn

This Talarico guy is GOOD

So of course the scuttlebutt is that the DNC/Texas Dems want to back Collin Allred or such again. Anyone but Talarico. Because obviously.

You know, most people see "Groundhog Day" as a nightmare, not an aspiration.

Coal Hard Facts -

Coal is expensive to run in powerplants because the furnace has to be kept in constant operation at a minimum level of burn. So even when daily demand drops you still burn tons of fuel waiting for high demand to hit. Gas doesn’t have that issue. Neither does solar or wind ... 🤔

Even conformists feel the human need to stand-out and be noticed.

Give it time and they'll be wearing personal 'flair' too.

"THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!"

Eventually we'll be down to one super-corp that owns everything and is ruled by "The 12 Families" or something.

And the way things are going with all these special "golden share" investment deals, that super-corp is likely to be Trump's US Federal Government.
