But I also think this kind of data should be tempered with other research about amplifiers on social media—politicians, political elites, and ahem, platform owners who juice algorithms. Link to Open Measures in this article doesn’t mention bots. None of the research on their site does. The WSJ article also mentions Peak Metrics research but doesn’t link to it. I know newsrooms are strapped but lord almighty.
