Read it: 1) synthesized 485 million year geological scale record of temperatures; 2) found a strong correlation with changes in atmospheric CO2 and temperatures, 3) had some periods needing more research. Methane may explain where CO2 does not, the temp change. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Fast opinion (will be reading that article too: registration done, authentication done, background ok to read, ty), I see two sets of charts, same period 800,000 years, similar periodicity, w/ CO2 spiking up 2x and methane spiking up 4x, in the last few millennia of data. Methane looks more scary.

I don't suppose methane levels matter much? The last 8 1/2 decades do not seem too alarming on their own but on a geologic scale?

Is methane also a political sleeping gas? Or just a money maker for some? Asking for a ... planet.

Doing some research, ends up Canadian beef is covered under CUSMA aka USMCA and not tariffed now. Ditto Mexico for now. But ...not Australia, Brazil, New Zealand ... Going to be a beef by consumers in the US ... no matter how u slice it ... :D
August 1, 2025 at 10:34 PM
The US needs "imports" to make lean ground beef as their stuff is too fatty. They have a trade deficit in beef, and a new record low herd size from 1951. With tariffs on imports, their consumers are going to try to eat beef but at much higher prices. Bottom 80% of Americans are CPI fk'd.

By province average donation claim? High income Albertan's
donated the most to bring up the median (half above, half below) to make that province the most generous! (also highest income per capita province). Median sorted in second table.

PS no intention to rain on the NS parade.

Statistics Canada from 2023 T1 Individual tax data shows Nunavut at the top. Individuals donated $12,782,690,000.

The $3,576,542,708 in the article through CanadaHelps is a PR'd, all time number :(

PS surprised journalists' story did not do the StatCan thing or read the financial reports.

Wait till the lowest cost producer SA realizes that there is no future in oil n gas and goes for market share. It's a matter of time as electrification progresses rather rapidly - outside the tariff walled US and who it can muscle along.

Scary part? Non-peer reviewed stuff gets sucked into the training set as well as peer reviewed stuff. A lot of shite will never get peer reviewed and published formally, becoming nonscience.

And well, you will have non-experts at the wheel.
