I saw them many times with Mani on bass, the last was in Leeds in 2011 when they did Screamadelica in full. Another candidate for my favourite ever gig.
I’ve only seen them once since then. Down to a four piece. They were good, well they were ok, not great.

When Primal Scream came on Mani went straight to the mic at the front of the stage & shouted “1 in a row!” Not one single fuck given about what the split in the room might have been. Set the tone. An incredible night.

To be fair Scotland did score a spectacular goal in 1989 vs Cyprus & I remember practising overhead kicks in the park in the weeks after it.
But that memory was subsequently destroyed a couple of months later. Never to be thought of again.

You say that like our generation ever had a Scotland match like that.
