I remember as a kid thinking the picture of Mark Hughes scoring against Spain for Wales was the coolest thing in football & wishing Scotland would score a goal as good as that.
I hope today’s Scottish kids enjoyed the Scott McTominay goal last night.

Having Yang & Forrest on the bench but not Donovan or Bernardo seems an odd one 🍀

I wonder who will get the Wolves job & who their assistant will be? 🤔

Martin O’Neill followed by Ange Postecoglou.
I don’t think it’ll happen but personally I’d be absolutely delighted if it did.
The man who gave me my best 5 years as a Celtic fan. And the man who had us playing the best & most entertaining football 🍀

Magic. More up for this game now. Easier to get behind the young lads than it is to just get pissed off at the same underachievers 🍀

Neil Lennon on co-comms since Celtic went 2-1 up 🍀

Kris Boyd isn’t wrong about this by the way.
‘Hiya pals, look at me”
Too many folk being played like a fiddle by this guy 🍀

Gutted. Another one of my favourites gone. I’ve always loved watching Robert Redford movies. Just watched The Natural again the other night & All The Presidents Men a couple of weeks ago. So many great films. Highly recommend Brubaker if you can find it anywhere.
RIP Sundance.

Finished reading this book last night. Absolutely loved it. One of the best books I’ve read about music. Maybe helps that bands involved are some of my enduring favourites (Walkmen, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, National, TV on the Radio, LCD Soundsystem) but I think anyone with even a….

@mdillon7.bsky.social oh look. Pretty sure I recognise that guy who liked something I posted. UTT.

The fee for Oh is a bit of a head scratcher because similar to his time at Celtic he rarely started at Genk. Only started 2 games in Belgian league last season but scored 7 league goals from only 411 mins on the pitch.
Still good luck to him, personally I certainly liked Oh more than I liked Idah.

No no no. I’ll think you’ll find there was nothing in it when Rangers beat Brugge in 1992.
But since then it’s been an absolute chasm.
Tonight they’ve been beaten by the best.

Bit of art therapy today to make me feel better after last night 🍀

Anyway, I’m about to head off to the land of mythical gods.
Maybe I’ll feel differently in a fortnight 🍀

Enjoying this album much more than I would have ever expected.
My top 3 Pulp albums now,
1. His n Hers
2. More
3. Different Class
And they’re the only one of the big britpop bands I still enjoy listening to.

Goodison Park. What a place.
Sorry to see it go but so glad I got to be there a few times.
That siren - incredible 🚨🔵

I always look forward to games with a lesser seen XI.
It’s usually also followed by disappointment that it doesn’t really click & a poor performance.
But still, fingers crossed Kenny has a good game. Too much to ask for a star-making hat-trick? 🍀

Perhaps not to everyone’s taste who follows me but I have to say this is one of the best football autobiographies I’ve read.
As completely honest & open as you’d expect. Just a brilliant read.
