Me: sorry I only work here I don’t own the building.

Energy provider: ok, is there a site manager around I can talk to?

Me: he…can’t come to the phone right now actually

Can you breathe through your nose right now? Cherish it, make a montage in your head of you spinning in a swirl of starry almond blossoms as ‘Days’ by The Kinks plays, interspersed with shots of you laughing on a windswept beach, the sun adoringly buttering your skin (I am on Covid day 9)

The Franciscan notion of the “univocity of being” gave an early philosophical foundation to what we now call the circle of life or ecosystems, holons and fractals (parts that replicate the whole), unitive or contemplative thinking, and mysticism itself. cac.org/daily-medita...

WOW OK so the toothless American ‘passed’ can now be used all over the office to convey bereavement with impunity but when I say he’s ‘gone to join the skeleton war’ I’m ‘insensitive’ and ‘please RSVP to HR’

Man I hate it when the free subscription to the body runs out. I used to drink until 2am, get four hours sleep, do a day’s work then gig in the evening. Now if I don’t take 14 supplements before going to sleep AND upon waking the silent hill music plays every time I take the stairs

This is faith embodied. Walking as praxis, as protest and solidarity.

“We have to reverently appreciate and try to connect with those whose lives we’re passing through,” Father Gary said.

(Quote from Catholic News Agency reporting)
Father Gary Graf’s 800-mile walk from Dolton, Illinois to the Statue of Liberty ended this week, but the mission he carried with him is far from over.

His message to all of us: "It is time to step up. It is time to speak out."

This bout of Covid got me living like it’s Boxing Day. Wake up periodically from a sleep, hunt around for random foods like a handful of blueberries, wonder vaguely what time or day it is, rewatch more I, Claudius, go back to bed.

Top life tips from someone who doesn’t know what creatine is:

- At some point all your laundry becomes easycare. The realisation breaks like a gentle dawn. Savour it.

- If you have two hands it’s because God wants you to have two coffees.
