It's definitely becoming a bit of a tired trope in that sort of film, but I have to admit that I'm still a massive sucker for it.
Out of interest, would you consider Hereditary as folk horror? I think that had the most satisfying ending of that sort of film.

However, as far as charity shop scores go, this is probably the best I've ever experienced. A genuine grail find. Change from a fiver too. Ridiculous.
