I’m actually starting to think this man is just plain stupid. Not that he’s bought off or just really conservative, but just fucking stupid.

How can it be week 56 when he wasn’t sworn in until January 20, 2025?

I make a monthly Venmo donation and I want to up the amount but I literally can’t figure out how to do it.

I still can’t get over that Eleanor’s name was Eleanor Roosevelt Roosevelt, and that Teddy and Franklin were only related by her

Biden inherited a shitty economy and turned it around better than any other world leader and made it the envy of the world. Trump inherited that economy and destroyed it, all on his own (no pandemic to blame) within 9 months. What the hell is this nonsense?

I walked into a glass door a few months ago. I don’t drink or consume any substances. It happens. Except I was focused on getting to an elevator in an unfamiliar space, not trafficking victims in a swimming pool.

It’s not a stimulus. It’s a reimbursement for unlawfully taken funds. If you loan me $100 and I pay it back, I haven’t given you a “stimulus.”

The ACA is the whole ballgame. SNAP was going to be restored by the court. What else is there?

But for Dems this makes no sense. Whereas R’s want bat shit crazy stuff that most people would hate (and the filibuster allows them to play to the nutjobs in their party risk free), D’s want good stuff that people will love if you can just get it passed. Dems should want it gone.
November 10, 2025 at 6:01 AM
First, the filibuster needs to go. Good riddance.

Second, if you give your opponent 100% of what they want to avoid them doing something that will guarantee them getting 100% of what they want, what’s the point?

But that just means the Democrats actually were to blame for the shutdown. If a person is holding a gun to someone else’s head and says they’ll shoot unless you agree to something, you don’t help anyone by waiting 40 days to do the thing when you knew all along you’d cave to the threat.

Except both parties do this kind of thing all the time: let some people vote a certain way either to stave off a primary or give cover for someone else who can’t cast the vote the party wants. It’s not unusual. Not saying that’s what happened here but it’s common.

It may be your “right” but it’s a stupid thing to do. Peoples’ lives are on the line but some can’t be bothered to lift a goddamn finger to help.

Men I’m not married to (and who are married to someone else) routinely put their hands on my hips. Nothing to see here.

We could fix that by, I dunno, raising the minimum wage? At least for companies with more than a threshold amount of earnings per annum?

I like big Gretch, but she’s really only suited to Michigan politics and not national. I very much care that he demolished the east wing of the White House, a national park site he does not own. Selling Yosemite is next up. Mark my words.
