Seriously! Peter Coyote is the primary narrator (he seems to be Burns' favorite narrator to work with), but since there's no footage like his Vietnam documentary, the famous actors voice various historical figures, e.g. Claire Danes voices Abigail Adams, Jeff Daniels voices Thomas Jefferson, etc.

Just as an aside, I do love watching Ken Burns documentaries because there's like a 20% chance you'll hear Keith David's voice in it.

FR. And he gets good talent to voice for it as well. Like this one has Tom Hanks, Joe Keery, Kenneth Branagh, Keith David, Paul Giamatti, Morgan Freeman, Maya Hawke, Ethan Hawke, Samuel L. Jackson, Meryl Streep, and those are just the names I remember without googling it.
