This is about the government collecting millions or billions on aggregate in money they can control for a defined period of time and use to fund whatever investments they want in the meantime. Translation: it's another scam, surprise surprise.

I was not aware that the pictures were simply pictures of him, I assumed they showed both him and Epstein. I have seen a number of pictures from prior releases that that don't seem suspicious on their own. I believe Brook's explanation that they simply happened to be at the same function once.

I apologize for jumping to conclusions as I did not understand the nature of the photos found when I wrote the original post. I applaud PBS for only addressing this in the segment he filmed tonight.

I am still no fan of David Brooks. I think most of his takes are bad and his analysis is flawed by his inherent worldview, though I wouldn't go so far as to call him a fundamentally bad person. Nevertheless, I believe his explanation for his appearance in the Epstein Files given the details.

I guarantee you any resemblance in structure or phrasing are strictly a result of whatever AI model the President's lazy comms team used to draft his announcement for this dumb spectacle. It simply culled language from the books. No one in that Administration is creative enough to come up with that.

Something certainly seems afoot...

I like how they they did it the laziest way possible too, they didn't even remove "The" before President Kennedy's name because then they'd have to re-center the bottom line, haha.

The law is abundantly clear: ALL unclassified information held by the DOJ MUST be released. Redactions are ONLY permitted for protection of the identity of victims. Congress must DEMAND the DOJ provide an itemized explanation and rationale for every single redaction in every single document...

Update: I have since seen compelling evidence from real users that the stats provided are boilerplate and duplication between many different unrelated accounts. So it's purely just theater. Not particularly harmful, I suppose, but adds to my confusion over why it's necessary.
