Smoke And Fire is a proper tune.

Really love Legacy but not read Judas Pig, thanks for the heads up!

Fair enough! I was a full-on indie kid on the fringes of a lifelong 1960s obsession. They were a useful instructive on what parts of 60s music/culture I should avoid at all costs so give them credit for that.

Ah man they were genuinely awful. Austin Powers psychedelia woo-woo traditionalists. And as dodgy in interviews as that all suggests.

Was really hoping the Free Hit nature of this match would work more in Wales’ favour than England but on current evidence that hope was wildly misplaced. Still, game of two halves and all that….

I bought The Verve EP from HMV at Oxford Circus on a school trip to watch Shakespeare in Regents Park in (I think) 1993 - it was a proper game changer. They were phenomenal for a while there, although I think you can directly track their decline to when Ashcroft took the creative reins from McCabe.

Have to confess I have no idea what the link there would be, but I wasn’t closely involved in the making, just recorded my parts remotely and sent them to Craig Fortnam who arranged all the brass and strings.

I get that you’re as terrified as I am by what’s going on so no personal attack intended but the gov’t bears a massive responsibility, being literally the only group of people who could to something meaningful about it but have clearly chosen not to.

Oh come on man, this is weak. If a 100,000 strong pro-Palestine match had erupted in violence today he’d have been all over the news condemning it, getting organisations listed etc. He’s a terrible coward.

Jumping in here. The most frustrating thing as someone who’s massively opposed to right-wing politics and spent their childhood thinking the Tories were going to be in power forever is seeing a landslide Labour gov’t shrug their shoulders at fash take over our streets. Pathetic by any metric.
