He/Him. Likes enjoying things and other unfashionable opinions. Cats, hobbies, games and movies, mostly.

Early Ghost of Yotei thoughts: this is the open world collectathon game again, but like its predecessor its a charming and slick version of that game where all the little targets feel optional and fun rather than a grindy horror. Its not really doing much new but is doing it well.

Today is the first time I have ever listened to "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" which is supposedly famous but I'd somehow never come across it.

Recovery update: this is why realistic healing rules in RPGs can fuck off.

Also, picking up the flu from the family has wiped me out and every sneeze and cough is really painful.

"Thank you stranger" cries the villager. "You have saved our starving home and rescued what we hold dear from those robbing scumbags"

"Sure, thanks" I reply, as I casually trouser everything I can find in their hovel's drawers.

Changed my dressings myself this morning like one of those hard cases in action movies.

With more whimpering, maybe but let's not dwell on that.

On the plus side I've played a lot of Ghost of Yotei this weekend.

Right, now "where is your poppy?" season has passed, is it time for "the woke has banned Christmas" season?

This is another reminder that I am bad at enforced inactivity. There are jobs to be done around the house but standing up for too long hurts, never mind actually trying to *do* anything.

Updating the family so they know that "I'm OK" is shorthand for "they punched 4 holes in my abdomen yesterday and I'm in a lot of pain actually but thank you I appreciate you checking in".

Interesting high concept zombies take that i don't think manages to land all its original ideas. But always got time for some ultra low budget innovation
