Lesson learned: Waiting in line for Chiang Rai here in Long Beach is always worth it, even if the wait is up to an hour. Checked out our old standby spot, cuz we didn't feel like waiting, Spicy Sugar, and it doesn't compare anymore. Wild.

I was born and raised in L.A., so I will always root for our OG teams. Yes, I'm a Galaxy fan. Though a casual one. Watching tonight's game in the background while I write, and man, gotta say it's a sleepy one. Where's the excitement? Nowhere to be seen...yet at the 67th minute against San Jose.

Today's hot yoga was too hot, and for the first time ever, after going at least twice a week for six months, I nearly passed out. Crazy. I still loved it and would do it all over again, even in this higher humidity and heat.

Writing is not dead, and it will never die. It may get harder to find your flow as we doomscroll more (and more), but as soon as you feel it again. It's so damn powerful, and it will remind you that it's not going ANYWHERE and no AI or algorithm will ever defeat a good old-fashioned flow state.

I am working late tonight and bumping Charles Bronson, and it's the first time listening to them in...a decade. One of the most underrated bands in American punk rock that pioneered the omnipotent PowerViolence sub-genre. Still holds up.

I went to go take my dog for a walk in this horrible air quality, and man, I think it's the first time I ever experienced the wheezing/asthma-like symptoms of breathing that shit in during "unhealthy for sensitive groups" advisory: itchy eyes, dry cough. Awful. That shit cannot be good for you.
