These (and all the varieties) have no HFCS and are amazing. Frozen at Trader Joe’s, just set out overnight to proof on parchment paper, then we do 19 minutes in the toaster over at 390 with a tiny foil “hat.” (The actual instructions are “20-25 at 400 in an oven.”) Also in Almond - a great treat!

The hardest clock to reset is the old Brookstone international travel time & date clock that thinks it’s 1914 because it can’t be set past 1999. The easy bedside alarm clock, alarm off, has been easy to set since I got it in 1981. “Dad’s Clock” is in my office, but needs the stepstool to reach it — also a battery change and I have to re-tape a muffling napkin over the back as the ticking drives me nuts. But it was Dad’s and makes me happy.

Do you have siblings you love and/or tolerate? You might enjoy what I started years ago with mine: a monthly rotating #tbt for texting the others a picture of something from our childhood… We take turns on the first Thursday of the month… about 10 years now. 💜 Highly recommend! Here’s one of mine:

I’m 50% through spy story “Passenger to Frankfurt” by Agatha Christie, published in 1970 when she was 80 — about fighting a worldwide billionaire-funded fake production raising a lying propaganda hero promising a new world. Christie warning against the next Hitler, but 100% tracks the MAGA spread.

Love our new Noodle St. (hand-pulled & hand-cut noodles) and because they have bibs, I feel they love me right back.

It only took three truckloads full to haul away this demolished Democracy.
I mean, house.
A white big rig truck, leaving a lot on a residential street, hauling an open top trailer full of the brown debris of a house that was torn down. (It was 3+2 with a separate garage - still standing in the upper right of the lot - built in 1931, rented out for the last 20+ years, died 7/30/25.) RIP my quiet neighborhood as construction will last 3 -5 years.

Stressed? This little squishy squeeze ball tries to help. (It does make me smile because my little brother gave it to me and, as I unwrapped it, asked to borrow it for a few weeks.)

OMG! I so totally LOVED “The Informant!” Free w/Prime, from 2009 — how is this new to me?!? A+ writing, acting, casting, directing; every frame a delight. Thank you to everyone who worked on it, it’s an evergreen joy!
