I realize that it's part of the governor's strategy to keep the National Guard at bay, but facilitating a violent, occupying force to keep another arm of the occupation at bay is not the only strategy, and it's one worthy of critique. Also, all state charges against protesters should be dropped NOW.

The added letter was a hug and an encouragement my family needed. "In spite of all the ways we sometimes disappoint each other; we are each other's best hope" is such a poignant way to remind us that we do not need ourselves or others to be perfect or uncomplicated to show up and care for each other
