There are definitely practical reasons to voluntarily do van life, and there are definitely people who actively crave/choose that lifestyle. But I can never shake the suspicion that a lot of it is fueled by a despairing acceptance that traditional home ownership will be impossible before age 40.

Healing has helped me notice when discipline is self-bullying and when discipline is being a friend to myself.
