It’s still insane to me how well “Ryuichi Sakamoto theme of a Nagisa Oshima prisoner of war film but covered in R&B style with lyrics about sipping chardonnay and being your señorita” works. It really works.

Kinda turned the corner on TROUBLE EVERY DAY. found it fine before but not erotic or painful enough for me and it was carried mostly by soundtrack. Now, it’s some of my fave abject cinema. I love how underneath it all (“it” being flesh and gore), it is this fucked romantic film about loving addicts.

World of Ruin, Silent Hill, Nightmare in Dreamland. It’s all the Atomic Age! If we just fall out and hunt monsters, we wont reach higher ground. enough bad ends, and we realize the sidequests and NPCs were the true path to being like a dragon. Who fits in the new age of of heroes
