Checked in on Twitter out of curiosity. Yep, still have the blue checkmark. I paid for it for one month for advertising purposes then blocked them from charging my card ever again because I couldn't find out how to cancel.

It's apparently coded so badly that I now just get to have it for free.

I challenge all game devs to play their games at default settings with 100% Windows Volume. If it's too loud, you now understand what people suffer when they open your game for the first time so please for the love of everything, start with your game volume being low by default instead.

PSA: Nomad Idle will never be available on mobile (Android/iOS). Some bad actors have stolen the game and uploaded. If you bought the game on mobile, leave a review saying it's a scam and reach out to Apple/Google for refund.

Apple is pretty much refusing to take them down. Terrible company.

I'm starting to notice a trend of incremental games and lo-fi music. Anyone that play idle games have an opinion on this? I'm thinking it's because idle games are typically a pretty chill experience, and by nature of it being idle, you want something that's more background-sounding?

Being able to sometimes afford commissioning pixel art is so cool, man. I sometimes scrap up some art for skill effects and stuff and it's alright, like, it's passable, I guess. But when I throw over like $20 or something to get it redone by a professional, it's always been worth it.

A trend I've noticed with popular idle games lately is that if you actually take advantage of their "idle" aspect, you sorta ruin the experience. It's certainly been an interesting observation.

The current hits are barely actually idle games. They're active games you beat in less than 48 hours.

However, I was curious to know what your stance was on getting e-mails about demos. Do you think, personally, that this is excessive? I'd imagine creators like yourself get tons of e-mails already.

Today, Nomad Idle crosses over into 14,000 wishlists, which is twice my original goal for launching the game. I haven't even put a demo out yet. Incredible.

@itch.io Can you tell me how being featured works? I realized I shot you guys an e-mail asking to be featured, if that's even a thing, but then looked at the featured list and saw I was already there (Nomad Idle) lol.

I super appreciate it, but itch is a very new place for me.

Anyone else know?
