I saw them a few weeks ago, but they are pretty much still brand new.

To whit, my parents home outside NY had oil heat (refitted onto an ancient coal boiler) until they converted in the early 90s, even though it always had a gas connection (not just for cooking, for gas lights back in the town gas days).

I have some childhood memories of the yearly oil truck visit.

Yes,l they can, but as a rule MNRR always runs their locomotives facing north. Probably for better access at GCT and to keep the loud loco away from the concourses.
