Just finished setting up a beast of a Minecraft server for my son!

Managed to snag an @Oracle Cloud ARM instance with 12GB RAM. Took some work to get Java 21 & Ubuntu firewalls playing nice, but we are officially lag-free and self-hosted. Dad points +100.

Testing my AI on My dog Rufus!

Custom model guessed "Deer" (31% conf). Pro ResNet-50 model guessed "Blenheim Spaniel" (95% conf).

The difference? Transfer Learning. Using professional pre-trained weights on my GPU changed the game from "guessing" to "knowing."

Increased the Epochs to 20 but seem to be hitting a wall at 64% accuracy. Time to add some augmentation and adaptive learning.

Configured a local environment using #PyTorch & NVIDIA #CUDA to train a CNN on CIFAR-10. Seeing 40% GPU utilization was the "undeniable" proof of accelerated computing in action.
