I would call those women, maybe, Typical White Feminists. They’re riding the coattails of patriarchy and white supremacy in the same way white suffragettes did when they swore, if they got the vote, to “snow under” the votes of Black men.

My undergrads just look at me blankly when I try to explain that it wasn’t always like this. That politicians used to pretend to be professionals, not talk like petulant 7-year-olds. And that it wasn’t that long ago that being openly racist was considered bad. They’re like “Sure, oldie. Good story.”

This makes me view my own situation differently. I’m aware of the racist/sexist shit people say to each other of course. But I haven’t heard it much in person since my 20s.
