Agreed but to fix 14 years of austerity and cuts is going to take longer than 5. But promising not to raise taxes, stupidly, before the election and then raising them will do for them.
Ask the Liberal Democrat’s.

A great shame. I think insurance companies write off cars too easily, especially electric ones. Sure they require specialist repairs and equipment but it doesn’t do much to save the planet as a repaired one will. And probably won’t cost as much as they fear.

The fear in upsetting the Orange One is obviously not confined to the USA media it is shared by the UK media and more importantly their political overlords.
The DG wouldn’t have resigned without the thumbs down from the PM. Disgraceful.

The selfish and self serving DUP MPs never cease to amaze me. It also shows how large elements of the Good Friday Agreement no longer operate.
The DUP can put a cabbage up and it would be elected.

In Belfast they would be asked “er, excuse me but who is paying who in this relationship as I don’t like your tone?”
If they don’t improve they would be told to fuck off.

Agreed but as they are afraid of their own shadow then as much then as now.
Plus they hardly had a plan for the rest of the country let alone the BBC.

Agreed, as I pointed out in the first comment. The BBC charter is due for renewal and this could be a perfect opportunity to enshrine this in the next charter.
But in the face of the Tory press and wider media, they won’t.

If the heads of the BBC are political appointments and were both strongly Tory supporters surely it is only right that the new Labour government should be able to do the same?

Of course it failed. The fossil fuel lobby is very rich and willing to spend big. Short term financial gain for the parties but long term fail for the country.
Has the war in Ukraine not taught them nothing?

My stepmom had two. Both generations and both convertible with the biggest HP available and boy could they shift. And boy could she make them shift.

Mind you if the last twelve months has been a guide it will be given to Dame Louise Casey…
Either way, it should be female who takes the lead. The fact it would be the first is a scandal.

Better policies come from consensus. Women politicians are, usually naturally, better at obtaining this consensus.
Better decisions need women within the political class. This affects us all.
It’s a battle worth fighting.

Murdoch has had his own agenda of destroying the BBC. A right wing DG and Chairman set the tone. The Chairman has said they need to platform Reform. Wrong.
Being impartial starts at the top. No political bias leaders should be appointed.
