Having an emotionally mature partner is top-tier. You're able to express yourself freely and openly. They don’t insult you, they don't give you the silent treatment, they don't become aggressive or manipulative. They listen, they respond — they gently hold a safe space for you.

Call me old fashioned, but if I was seated next to someone I absolutely despised at a mandatory function I would act like he simply did not exist

I once knew a girl who let her mom convince her that she was “right” about something that she was absolutely in the wrong for. It was in that moment that I knew. The momma a bird & her daughter is too 😩

It really shows in the piss poor advice that these “grown” women give their daughters. I truly pity them.

Some women’s biggest haters are their mothers. Or did y’all forget?
